A big, blue wooden door greets you as you walk up the path from the gate. The cast-iron key is six inches long. Inside the house, the rooms are arranged around a central staircase over three floors. On the ground floor are situated the kitchen and sitting room, either side of the door.
The kitchen is equipped with a pine dining table which seats 8 comfortably on Windsor chairs. Equipment includes gas oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and double sink. In the grand French tradition, there is also a separate WC in the corner.
The sitting room has a floor of terracotta tiles and boasts a large, provencal fireplace as its central feature. Large windows open onto the front patio, two sofas provide the main seating.
Entertainment facilities include a widescreen TV with English terrestrial channels, a DVD player with an ever-expanding library of classic movies for all the family and a boombox for music.
On a fine day, young children like to sit outside, paint or eat on the low stone table on the patio.
