Mons region

  • The property is in a secluded hamlet in the commune of Mons, between the dramatic gorges of the Siagne and Siagnole, where you can paddle or picnic. The hamlet is peaceful and sheltered with marvellous views over the nearby hills. Mons itself (altitude 830m) is 7 minutes away by car and sits unchanged on a rocky outcrop for 1,000 years, with spectacular views to the Mediterranean.
  • In Mons, there are a local grocer, baker and 3 restaurants in the village. The house is in an olde worlde hamlet with six or seven country houses spread out in a micro-climate bowl at 580m. A few minutes away are two gorges - the Siagne and the Siagnole - formed of mountain streams.

What to do

  • Planning your holiday in Fayence
  • Dine in local, provencal restaurants in Mons and Fayence
  • Go on a wide range of walks and hikes in spectacular scenery
  • Drive down to the French Riviera beaches only 45 minutes away
  • Visit the stunning Gorges de Verdon
