Provence Honey

I had no idea that Provence hosted honey festivals! Care of French Duck, I now know to highlight the august Honey Festival (Fete du Miel) in the village of Mouans-Sartoux on Sunday 30 April 2006. It's quite a buzz and we hope for a cool breeze from the Med to dispel any stickiness.

Herbes de Provence

Laura from Indiana has spilled the beans. Like KFC's batter, Coca Cola's recipe and fine Hollandaise,  the secret mix of ingredients in Herbes de Provence has been handed down from generation to generation in terracotta pots.

Now Laura has pulled the rug from under the Provencal alchemists behind it. She has sadly missed out one vital ingredient, though. Hehe.
