I am so excited by the Thomson Cote D'Azur podcast. It's a marvellously cheesy overview of all the favourite tourist spots in Provence, packaged up with tasteful quasi-french backing muzak by the leading UK tour operator. It concentrates on St. Tropes, Grimaud and Antibes. Thankfully, the furthest north it goes is Grasse: the villages perches like Fayence and Montauroux are left unscathed.
The Times was less than impressed: "the information on their podcasts is bland brochure-speak, devoid of the detail you would get in a guidebook -- like having an advert whispered in your ear."

.... the Times is correct, the Thompson Podcast is just useless.
Can anyone recommend a nice B&B in the Fayence area? Last time we stayed in a hotel in Nice - too noisy and expensive. We liked the Provence hinterland more.
We want to stay a week in Fayence and then one week in the Mt.Ventoux region. Is there anything you can recommend there? Any good blogs or websites about that region?

Hmmm...I have two concrete suggestions for accommodation in the Fayence area, Mariette. One: you can rent our house (http://www.go-provence.com/mons_farmhouse.htm ) - not B&B but fabulous/peaceful. Two: try Number One Mons (http://www.numberonemons.com ) - designer accomodation in downtown Mons (!). Or - check out my links to the Fayence area.

We have a podcast from our bed & breakfast from the rainforest of Puerto Rico where we talk about El Yunque, Vieques, Puerto Rico -- things to do hear as well as the trials and tribulations of running a bed & breakfast. We'd like to expand the podcast into interviews with other b&b owners.
